Whitney & Bobby - Something In Common (‘94 Soul Train Awards)

— Little Known Fact:  I have a few memories enjoying Whitney Houston’s music with my mother and family as a child, but none probably as happy as this one.  Not many know that my mom was a fashion designer for a living.  One of her clients was Whitney Houston as well as Bobby Brown.  This beautiful suit and dress ensemble was done by her for the 1994 Soul Train Awards; I was around 5 or 6 at the time I saw this (as well as a sneak peak of the process of making the clothes).  Both of us were ecstatic about the fact her work was featured on TV.  I’m thankful to have enjoyed the music of Whitney and to have known my mother, who died in 1997.  Hope they’re kicking it in the spirit realm together.  [Love ya mom :-)]
